Chief Judge Rodney W. Sippel today entered an Order extending his prior Order of May 29, 2020 re. Case Operations allowing for video proceedings in a number of cases and limited in-person hearings when necessary, while also allowing for the commencement of a limited number of jury trials and extending the Speedy Trial Act waiver through August 2, 2020, as the number of trials will continue to be limited due to COVID restrictions. The Speedy Trial Act extension will be reviewed on a month-to-month basis.
